Roshika Deo is a Fijian who lives and works in the Pacific region. She is the Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion, and Safeguarding Advisor for Team Up program. At Team Up she is working on supporting partners to address the gender play gap, create awareness on gender sensitisation, promote disability and social inclusion, and provide safeguarding advise and technical support to partners. She also fosters and helps build partnerships among various stakeholders to strengthen strategies and initiatives on gender, inclusion, and safeguarding. She leads current work on increasing women and people with disability’s access to leadership in sports. She has a law and public policy educational background and has spent most of her life working on human rights, gender, SOGIESC rights, public policy, legislative reform, and safeguarding. She has worked for UN agencies, feminist and LGBT groups and international human rights and development organisations.
