Laurent Bosquet earned a Ph.D. in Physical Activity Sciences from the University of Montreal (Canada), and a Ph.D. in Sport Sciences from the University of Poitiers (France). A former Professor at the University of Montreal, Laurent is a Professor at the University of Poitiers. His research interest focuses on the optimization of training methods for different populations, including elite athletes, elders or patients suffering from heart diseases. A former dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Laurent is the director of the research laboratory MOVE (move.labo.univ-poitiers.fr) and the head of the research chair Sport and Health (chairesportsante.univ-poitiers.fr). He is also the coordinator of the d-day program (move.labo.univ-poitiers.fr/projet-d-day/), a 4-year research project funded by the National Agency of Research to optimize the three last weeks of the preparation of swimmers from the French national team for the Olympic Games of Paris 2024.
