Jacopo Vitale is a Research Associate at Schulthess Klinik in Zürich, Switzerland. He earned his PhD in Sports Science from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2016. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a postdoctoral researcher (2016-2019) and later as the Head of the Laboratory (2020-2022) at the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan, Italy. Dr. Vitale’s primary research interests include: Sleep and recovery in athletes; Sarcopenia and exercise prescription; Orthopaedics, with a focus on the spine. Since 2018, Jacopo has been a scientific consultant for the Italian Track and Field Federation (FIDAL), where he assists Olympic athletes in managing their sleep behavior and coping with jet lag during international competitions. Dr. Vitale has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications in esteemed scientific journals.
