Emily Kroshus, ScD MPH is Associate Professor at University of Washington’s School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics and School of Public Health’s Department of Health Systems and Population Health. Her research focuses on social and contextual determinants of health in sport settings, with a particular interest in social and structural determinants of health inequities. Her research has been funded by organizations including the (US) National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Department of Health and Human Services, and she has worked with the NCAA for nearly a decade on health promotion initiatives. A former Canadian junior national team distance runner and All-American collegiate athlete, she is a proud member of the King County Play Equity Coalition.
