Dr Conant-Norville MD is a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist with special interest in Sports Psychiatry. He practices in Oregon, USA where he is founder and clinical director of Mind Matters PC, a multi-disciplinary mental health clinic. Dr Conant-Norville was raised in Oregon, graduated from Stanford University, and received his medical degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University. His psychiatric training in general and child psychiatry was also at OHSU. He has had been in private psychiatry practice since 1987. Dr Conant-Norville had developed a passion in sports psychiatry, particularly in understanding the needs of the young athlete and value of healthy youth sports. Dr Conant-Norville’s experiences in sports started when he was young, and during adolescents he played on 5 different sports teams during high school. At University, he played on the soccer team. He coached his children’s youth sports teams, and particularly enjoyed coaching competitive club soccer for young adolescents. Dr Conant-Norville has served on the board of directors for the International Society for Sports Psychiatry since 2003 where he has served as chair of the Youth Sports committee. He is very interested in understanding the intersection between anti-doping and psychiatric care, particularly regarding treatment of ADHD and sleep disorders. He has served as psychiatric consultant for the US Anti-doping Agency, Professional Golfers Association Tour, and Ladies Professional Golfers Association. Dr Conant-Norville has been honored as Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as certification of additional training in sports psychiatry from the International Society for sports Psychiatry.
