Daniel Bok is an associate professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, Croatia, where he started his academic carrier as an assistant in 2008. At that time, he was appointed to serve as a junior editor for the scientific journal Kinesiology. He is currently enrolled as head and associate teacher for several subjects at the undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. level courses. His main subjects are integral part of the strength and conditioning coaches’ programe and his lectures are mainly focused on topics related to endurance training. He received a Ph.D. in kinesiology in 2014 for studying short term adaptation to repeated sprint training. His main research interests include acute responses and adaptations to endurance training, training load monitoring, and exercise testing and prescription. He continuously serves as a peer reviewer for several leading journals in the field of Sport Sciences. In May 2022 he joined the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance. He was a member of a Croatian national karate team that won a bronze medal at the World Championship in 2002 and two bronze medals at the European championships in 2004 and 2006. Now he enjoys running and playing soccer.
