Charlie is a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, UK. He holds degrees in Sport and Exercise Science from the Universities of Texas and Sydney. Charlie completed a PhD in Human Physiology at Aberdeen University where he investigated the effects of drink formulation on fluid delivery, absorption and exercise response in humans. He developed the MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Oxford Brookes, where he is currently the course leader and teaches classes in sport nutrition and exercise physiology. Charlie is also extensively involved in international education on behalf of Oxford Brookes, including the delivery of an MSc in Sport Nutrition in Greece. He provides sport science and sport nutrition consultancy to teams in the South of England, particularly in rowing and is an Academic Associate with the SENr. He is a regular contributor to books, magazines, interviews and international conferences on a range of topics in sport science and sport nutrition.
