Graduated from University of Birmingham spent 12 years teaching PE in schools in UK and overseas. Having been Head of Faculty departed teaching to become the Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Bath – Director of Studies for Initial Teacher Education and author and director of Elite Sport Performance Coach Education Degree. Exciting times combining working with both elite athletes and the Education Department. During this period also had oversight of Safeguarding within the Sport department. Attended seven Olympic Games summer and winter to lead youth delegations, Director of the British Olympic Academy and consulted to BOA on educational programmes. In voluntary role worked as the HQ lead for Team England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games – including oversight of Safeguarding. Team Leader for two sports at World University Games and three times Chef de Mission for Team GBR. Currently a member of the International Advisory Board for British Universities and College’s Sport. Previous role was as Head of CGA Relations at the Commonwealth Games Federation. This exciting role required close collaboration with all CGAs to assist with preparation for Games time participation. During Games time operational lead in the Athlete Village. Currently my role involves working with all sport federations (Olympic and non-Olympic) to assist with development, Games preparation, governance, athlete development and growing participation. Most recently working on the integration of the Olympic and Paralympic Committees.
