Greg Shaw is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and was a Senior Sports dietitian at the Australian Institute of Sport for 10 years prior to its restructure. He continues his work as National Nutrition Lead to Swimming Australia in a direct consultancy role, directing their nutrition service delivery and education programs across the whole swimmer lifecycle. Since completing his degree, Greg has worked with elite professional football teams such as the Brisbane Lions AFL club, Queensland Reds Super 14 rugby team, ACT Brumbies Super 15 rugby team and has worked individually with Olympic champions and world record holders consulting to Australian, Queensland and British swimming teams, and the Queensland Academy of Sport. Greg is a Level 3 ISAK accredited anthropometrist and is passionate about teaching methods of monitoring body composition that are both accurate and reliable. He was one of the inaugural graduates of the IOC Diploma in Sport Nutrition, and contributed to the 2013 FiNA consensus meeting on Nutrition for Aquatic athletes. Greg attended the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as part of the Australian Olympic team, responsible for the swimming and open water swimming team nutrition services.
