Liz has been a sports dietitian for over 30 years, working across 3 countries (Australia, Scotland and the USA) and a wide range of sports and levels of athlete. Liz has worked at the Australian Institute of Sport, US Olympic & Paralympic committee, with national sporting organisations, professional team sports and private practice, and currently works at the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia. Over her career, Liz has built a high level of expertise and experience working with Paralympic athletes, which have culminated in the publication of 2 editions of “Sports Nutrition for Paralympic Athletes” and running the Para Sports Nutrition podcast. Liz’s experience ranges beyond sports nutrition to exercise science, team management, research, and lecturing at Universities. Liz has worked at 3 Olympic games and 5 Paralympic games (2 winter, 3 summer). Liz is an inaugural board member, and Fellow, of Sports Dietitians Australia and was a board member of PINES for several years. She also developed an unusual set of skills helping build a 40ft catamaran during COVID and enjoys sailing coastal Australia in her spare time!
