Margo Mountjoy is a sport medicine specialist in Guelph, Canada. She is a member of the International Federations of Golf (IGF), Footbal (FIFA Science) and Rugby (WR – antidoping), and a member of the IOC Medical Commission – Games Group. In addition, she is a member of several expert working groups working on IOC projects to promote athlete health in between the Games including the Prevention of Harassment & Abuse in Sport, Mental Health Working Group, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport, Fitness & Health of Children, Exercise in Extreme Environments, Training the Elite Child Athlete, Prevention of Chronic Disease and the Periodic Health Evaluation. Margo is published in the scientific literature in the field of athlete health and injury and illness prevention in elite sport. She is a Deputy Editor of the British Journal of Sport Medicine and a member of the editorial board of the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine. She is also a Deputy member of the WADA Foundation Board and chairs the ASOIF Medical Consultative Group. She is a Clinical Professor and the Regional Assistant Dean at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, Canada.
