Stephanie was born with one leg but learned how to stand tall, steady, and proud as she represented Canada in three Paralympic Games, winning seven gold medals and setting multiple world records. Stephanie has become an international speaker, sharing her story around the world promoting accessible, inclusive, and safe sport. As a coach and mentor, she shares examples from her own experience of struggle and determination to inspire connection, engagement, and motivation.
Stephanie has been involved in the Paralympic movement for over 20 years and received the Order of Canada in 2017. She served as the chef de mission for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and is currently completing a graduate degree at the University of Toronto with a focus on safe and rights-based sport.
