Olivia is a well-known and trusted member of the gymnastics community. Since representing New Zealand at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, she has worked as a coach, judge, choreographer, and competitive programme manager. After publicly sharing her experience in 2020, she became a leading advocate for survivors. She has volunteered at Community Law (Women’s Sessions) and Youth Law Centres in Wellington and Auckland, which has afforded her a profoundly important insight into the challenges that vulnerable women and young people face when accessing remedy and justice, and the need to build trust and informed consent to ensure their constructive engagement. She brings this expertise to her advocacy for gymnastics survivors.
