Kimberly is a Certified Physician Assistant and Forensic Examiner. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Avalon Healing Center. She has specialized in emergency medicine, trauma and sexual violence for 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in Exercise Science, her Master of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. She has worked in Detroit her entire professional career. Kimberly has served in numerous work groups and think tanks on behalf of the issues surrounding sexual assault and abuse at the local, state, and national levels. She is heavily involved in education and training to the community, as well as to other professionals working with survivors of sexual violence. She is a sought-after speaker and consultant at the state, national and international levels.
