Phil Doorgachurn believes that all children and young people have the right to feel safe and be safe. Phil has extensive experience over a decade in the U.K and Australia. Phil was the head of Safeguarding Training for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Phil’s work history is extensive and includes consulting for Children’s Protection Society in Australia and well as Senior Consultant for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) in the U.K.
Phil’s breadth of experience includes Head of Safeguarding for Lawn Tennis Association, Premier League and more recently Arsenal Football Club in the U.K. Phil is currently the Acting CEO for Y Safeguarding, the Y’s charity for safeguarding children and young people. Phil sits on the Prime Minister’s Office for Child Safety in Australia influencing government policy and practice.

Phil believes that keeping children and young people safe is not difficult, however it does involve courage to speak out and stand up for their rights. Phil believes that children and young people’s voices are important and all adults have the responsibility to ensure they are heard and amplified.
