Dr Hölmich is Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen. He is an Orthopaedic surgeon specialised in arthroscopic surgery; in recent years with a focus on lower extremity surgery, in particular hip arthroscopy. Head of Arthroscopic Center Amager and Sports Orthopedic Research Center–Copenhagen (SORC-C) at Copenhagen University Hospital, Amager-Hvidovre in Denmark. Head of Sports Groin Pain Center (SGPC) at Aspetar Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, Doha, Qatar. Many years of clinical practice involved in sports at all levels including International elite football, Danish Olympic athletes and Danish Premier League football. Main research areas include Groin injuries, Arthroscopic surgery, and Adolescents in sports.
